Butterfly Garden Visit (9 am) A space with natural moisture, sunlight and wildflowers, our butterfly garden is amok with the fluttering of colourful, gossamer wings. Owls Parliament (10 am) To know more about the Owls of Marari Beach Resort please join our Naturalists and experience the 'Owls Parliament' The Art of Coir Making (Monday - Saturday | 9 am to 4 pm) Experience the art of Coir making, which involves transforming the tough, fibrous husk of the coconut into useable and beautiful products. Cooking Demonstration (4:30 pm) Marari Beach's master chefs share some of their skills with you at the evening cookery classes. Here you will learn the secrets of traditional Kerala cooking and of course, you will enter the magical world of Indian spices. The Farm Kitchen Experience (6 pm - 9 pm) Pick fresh produce from our garden, and participate in an interactive cooking session with our chefs to learn the subtleties of various local delicacies. This gastronomic encounter leads to a sumptuous meal with the chef.

Temple Trail | 9 am to 2 pm The trail begins with a visit to the Mararikulam Mahadeva Temple dedicated to Lord Shiva and proceeds to Kidanganparambu Temple in Alleppey, which is a miniature version of Madura Meenakshi Temple. Then proceed to the famous Mannararshala or the Nagaraja Temple where worship is performed by a priestess. On your return trip step into Ambalappuzha Krishna Temple where you can taste the famous Ambalappuzha ‘paal payasam (slow-cooked sweet milk porridge). The tour ends with a visit to ‘Karumadikkuttan’ a buddha statue which is believed to be old as the 9th to 14th century. Village Tour (9:00 am & 5.00 pm) Monday - Saturday Experience Mararikulam village life on a 2-hour tuk-tuk tour of the village. The tour covers Mararikulam Mahadeva Temple, Kanichukulangara Devi Temple, visits to a Khadi weaving unit, a Coconut oil extracting centre run by a local family, as well as a small-scale coir mat weaving centre. Arthunkal church (4:30 pm to 6:30 pm) St. Andrew's Basilica, Arthunkal, was originally built by Portuguese missionaries in the 16th century and has a fascinating history. The church was rebuilt in 1584, under then vicar Fr. Jacoma Fenicio, whom the devotees claim, possessed magical powers to heal the body and mind. Spend a relaxed afternoon visiting this place of history and end the evening with a calm sunset walk along the harbour Fish Landing (7:30 am to 9 am) Monday - Saturday Take an early morning walk to the fish-landing harbour to be jolted out of your waking hours. The fresh catch being brought in from the sea, middlemen bargaining for their stock, to a sea of baskets being hurried away inland with the freshest of fish, a visit to the harbour gives every guest the pulse of this small fishing hamlet.
